Very floriferous from January to March, erect perfumed bunches, growing at the end of its smaller branches. The long 30 to 50cm leaves are spread regularly along the stem. Each leaf has smaller leaflets (between 13 and 17) that are tough, thorny and 6 to 10cm long. Its silhouette is graphical. The younger shoots are coppery and contrast with the older, bright dark green, blue-tinted leaves.
