Beautiful tree with a rounded crown and a smooth light grey bark. Beautiful dark green foliage margined with very fine hair and turning brown-yellow in autumn. Its fruits are called beechnuts. It provides an excellent calorific firewood and appreciates good atmospheric humidity.
