Read detailed description :

Melliferous, vigorous, very floriferous and strongly perfumed. Large flowers (the biggest of the family), dark purple in bud, flowering into a lighter purple at the end of April-May. Lovely dense bunches of 15-25cm, flowering from a young age. A good plant to form into a Bonsaï, or pruned into a bush. Moderately sized climber. Leaves have 9-13 leaflets, long-lasting in autumn. Stems grow around props in an ani-clockwise fashion (levorotatory).
