The irreplaceable double flowers wisteria, with dark pruple to mauve and white colours. The nice and dense clusters of flowers can reach 30 to 40 cm long in end of April-May. It blooms about a week after Wisteria sinensis. Smells like honey, especially in warm temperatures. Glossy dark green deciduous foliage turning to beautiful light yellow colours in autumn. The leaves are composed of 9 to 13 leaflets. The stems curl up in a clockwise direction on their support.
