Lovely perfumed flowers, red when in bud, becoming a tender pink when flowering in April-May and again in September. The quaint little leaves are roundish and a shiny green, turning yellow in autumn, and may get red tinted. A dense and bushy shrub of about 1m50 long and 1m50 wide. Branches grow horizontally. Any well drained and healthy soil, even a bit chalky. Rustic plant bred in a cold climate at Ogallala, Nebraska (US).
