Read detailed description :

A sturdy upright tree with intense purple-pink flowers in late spring, fragrant and melliferous. Its wood is not brittle and branches more easily, with a more compact habit than 'Casque Rouge'. Its branches bend charmingly under the weight of the flowers. It is dry and wind resistant and does not fear any parasites. Its light, fairly dark green foliage is slightly downy on the underside. It is composed of 11 to 19 oval leaflets, 3.5 to 5 cm long and 2 to 2.5 cm wide. It can be used to create beautiful alignments along alleys and mixes well with other plantings. Its branches are not very thorny. It will grow in any type of free draining soil, even poor, chalky soil, and tolerates heat and pollution.
