The dwarf Rhododendron 'Scarlet Wonder' is very floriferous in April-May. It is covered with beautiful and outstanding vermilion red bell-shaped flowers that have wavy edges. It has a dense, glossy dark green foliage with a nice and deep ribbed texture. It has also a beautiful small, spreading, compact and round shape. It is resistant to cold weather and will adapt to many regions. It tolerates sunlight better than many other Rhododendrons.
