The pomegranate, originally from western Asia, is cultivated since Antiquity all around the mediterranean. Resistant to heat, dry and chalky soils, but thrives better in a deep, cool and rich soil. A good plant for varied hedges, flowerbeds or isolated. Flowering is long lasting.
