Magnificent and graphic little tree. Remarkable and shiny amber bark. In April-May, creamy-white flowers will appear in bunches. The deciduous green leaves will turn yellow in autumn. Can grow to about 8m in age. This species is named in tribute to the russian botanist Richard K. Maack, St. Petersburg (RU).
