Read detailed description :

In February-March, it has lovely little bunches of simple, dark red flowers. Held by superb red calyxes, they are produced in abundance, before the appearance of leaves. The spear like leaves, 5 to 7cm long, are bronze tinted in spring, green in summer, turning to a warm orange-red colour in autumn. Forms a lovely dense and erect shrub, with firm branches. Growth is slow but regular. Staying a modest size, adapts well to all gardens, in flowerbeds, isolated or in hedges.
