Very floriferous plant. It is the drooping variety of Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan'. Very elegant plant with red buds and bright pink flowers of 2.5 to 3 cm diameter. They are gathered in clumps of 2 to 5 flowers. Bronze foliage in spring, turning slightly purple green in summer and orange-yellow in autumn. Upright vegetation and flared shape. Healthy and hardy plant. Nice when planted alone, near a pond or above rock gardens. The word 'Shidare' is used for drooping shapes in Japan. Synonym: Cheal's Weeping
