Small tree that is highly appreciated for its numerous advantages: it is easy to grow, robust, hardy, versatile, colourful and fruit-bearing. It produces a large amount of pink and then white flowers in March-April, followed by a dark purple red foliage. At the end of summer, it bears edible purple plums. It can take the shape of a shrub or a tree and can be used as a hedge plant or bedding plant.
