The green leaves are edged with yellow, becoming cream in summer and turning pink in autumn-winter. It is a magnificent evergreen, decorative all year. Combine with grey, dark green and red coloured plants (Artemisia, Nandina, Ninebark, etc..) The plant is quite erect, and needs to be in a sheltered zone for protection from very cold weather. Mutation of P. ten. 'James Stirling'.
