Magnificent large, fast growing tree, conical to start then becoming domed, with branches starting at the base. Thin and long, silvery-blue flexible needles. Rustic when adult, needs protecting when young. Grows in any soil, even dry, and appreciates a humid atmosphere. Prefers a cool and rich soil, not too chalky, and sheltered from strong winds.
