A vigorous and columnar formed pine with upright and tightly fitting branches. The dark green needles are shorter than those of other pines. Synonym : Pinus nigra var. pyramidata. Easy to grow, resistant to cold weather, chalky soils and pollution. Plant in any well drained soil and a sunny exposure.
