Read detailed description :

Graceful dark purple flowering from September to November. Appreciates hot, but not too dry, summers. Large, dark green reeds, turning a golden yellow in autumn. An excellent plant for ground covering borders and flowerbeds. The latin name, Pennisetum, means 'Silk Feathers'. Will self seed in a cool and moist soil. This variety is close to the wild one found in Japan.
