Grows 0,5 to 1m tall per year. It is the only true wild vine (quinquefolia) to attach itself to its support thanks to small suckers. Thin branches and thinner leaves than those of the same typical species. Outstanding scarlet red colouring in early autumn. Can be used as a ground cover.
