Compact, rustic and erect plant, in a flame, then pyramidal form. Excellent evergreen to plant isolated or as a screen, in a straight line or on both sides of a passageway. Large, perfumed, cup-like flowers in summer. Can grow to over 10m with age. Curving dark green and glossy leaves of medium size, with a downy, tawny-coloured underside.
