Dense vegetation with long, drooping and arched branches. Purple-violet flowers in clusters of 15 to 80 cm long from August to October. Tolerates dry conditions. Excellent as a rockery plant, on a wall or in containers. It covers well the surface on which it is drooping. Synonym: L. Sieboldii; Desmodium penduliflorum.
