Able to attach itself to props, without damaging them, by little aerial roots. Leaves are dark green and young shoots are coppery-red. Numerous white flowers in spring. Hybrid of the 'petiolaris' and 'seemani' Hydrangeas, but a more rustic version. Vigorous and moderately rapid growth. Can grow to 3-6m in age.
