Original and magnificent plant. Old variety, flowering from August to October. Flowers start a red edged and creamy colour, turning a deep purple red, lasting until the first frosts appear. Dark and shiny leaves, tinted burgundy in autumn, and copper-bronze in spring and summer from sunrays. Dense and compact plant. Prefers a sheltered spot. Excellent for low hedges and flowerbeds. Synonym : Foleus purpureus, Foliis prupurea, Brunette, Colour Fanasy, Verdun. Mutation of 'Merveille'.
