Starts flowering early in the seaon with repeat flowering later. A rustic, firm and dense shrub, tolerating sun. Good plant for gardens due to low maintenance. The wilted flowers are superb and will dry easily. A perfect blue colour when in acid soil, will turn pink if in a chalky soil, or dark pink, nearly red, in an alkaline soil. 'Bodensee' is the swiss name for Lake Constance.
