Lovely, relatively dark red, pompom-like flowers, double and large, recalling those of the carnation. A vigorous and well ramified shrub, and easy to grow. Will not bear fruit after flowering, which helps maintenance and encourages a vigorous and repeat flowering. The ideal candidate for flowering hedges, flowerbeds and containers. Tolerates dry weather and chalky soils and will appreciate a sunny exposure.
