Perennial plant, growing from the stump each year, offering large colourful flowers in summer attaining 20cm in diametre carried by upright stems. Appreciates a good rich soil, permanently cool and moist. Shelter from dry and cold winds and protect the stump in winter. Prefers a luminous to half shady exposure (in torrid regions)
