Vigorous, hardy and evergreen shrub with a rounded shape and long flexible drooping branches. Shiny dark green foliage with greyish undersides. Red branches covered with a fine grey down in winter. Melliferous creamy white and pink flowers organised in clump in June-July. Numerous ed clustered fruits from autumn to the end of winter. Tolerates chalky conditions.
