The leaves are a bronze-red colour, edged with cherry red, and attractive all year. Slowly develops a lovely little trunk. If planted in a pot, it is preferabe to bring it inside to a cool room in winter, to shelter from very cold weather and decorate intereriors. Appreciates sunny to half shade exposures and will grow in any well drained soil.
