The Japanese quince 'Eximina' announces spring. Its pretty, large carmine pink flowers appear at the first sign of spring thaw. The flowering occurs from late winter to the beginning of spring (often in February-March). It easily grows into a small, compact and vigorous shrub, very interesting for its early flowering and its hardiness. Ideal with forsythia, abeliophyllum, viburnum tinus and x bodnantense. Spreads by suckers. Melliferous plant.
