Well ramified, elegant and erect bearing. Semi-weeping in age. Peeling bark of white, cinammon streaked strips. Drooping bunches of greeny-yellow flowers in April-May. The purple leaves turn an orangey-red in autumn. Robust tree, growing to over 6m in age. Has purpely colours in full sun and prefers a cool soil.
