Read detailed description :

Large flowers in dark purple-red clusters in May. Beautiful shiny dark green foliage. Does not bear fruits, which is an advantage for car parks and busy places. Beautiful rounded tree that is very common in urban areas for its shading ability. It can grow over 20 metres tall but often remains smaller. Charles Briot was a nurseryman at the Trianon de Versailles and then head gardener at the beginning of the 19th century.
