Beautiful variety, introduced and distributed by this illustrious pioneer from the French Anjou region (Loire Valley). More interesting than the 'Burgundy' variety. Flowering will start from a young age. The cup-like flowers will grow to between 7.5-15cm in diameter, are purple-pink ouside with a white interior. Lovely rounded tree with elegantly spreading branches.
