Beautiful low and compact shrub, wider than it is tall. Large bright red fruits in autumn. The fruit production is enhance by the presence of other aucubas. Prefers rather rich and fresh soils with low calcareous conditions. Nice when grown in containers, in flower beds, in borders or in heather soil.
