Read detailed description :

Relatively compact pyramidal form, soaring and the trunk visible. Rising branches at the top, horizontal and drooping nearer the base. Brown-red bark. Deciduous light green foliage turning a golden yellow in autumn. Round and green cones, turning red, of 2.5-3cm. The best conifer to plant in non-chalky, damp to marshy soils. Developping in this sort of soil it will sprout, from its roots, striking knee-like growths, projecting above ground.
