Very floriferous, with big wavy purpely-mauve to light mauve flowers and its white tube streaked with red in May-June, grouped in rounded bunches. Sturdy variety, compact dark green foliage with a velvety underside. Its shoots are ornemental and velvety after flowering. Hybrid between Rhododendron yakushimanum 'Koichiro Wada' and 'Blue Peter'.
