Very vigorous and fairly fast-growing plant. Very floriferous, bushy and spreading plant with a dark green foliage. Very large, bright deep pink flowers gathered in dense rounded clumps and covering the shrub in May. Attractive thick oval dark green evregreen foliage. Hybrid between Rhododendron griersonianum and Countess of Derby. Tolerates the shade and the sun when planted in cool soils.
