Relatively firm, dark red and sweet flesh. Will not easily burst. Appreciated all over France, particularly in the South-East. Synonyms : Sandrin, Souvenir des Charmes. Bred around 1895 at Charmes, a township of Denicé in the Rhone region. Named and distributed by the Moreau nursery from Villefranche-sur-Rhone in 1909, although ignorant of the origin.
