Upright, dense and well branched shrub. Elongated leaves of 3 to 6 cm long , coloured with dark green on the upper side of the leave and bluish-green undersides. The leaves appears in early spring. Flowers of 1,5 to 2 cm large. Very hardy and robust plant that is easy to grow. It can grow in any type of soils, even poor, dry or moist and tolerates pollution. It is also used in remote or inaccessible areas of the garden.
