Open pyramidal bearing. Large, well defined leaves, purple with red veins on young shoots, green in summer, and golden in autumn. Growth is relatively rapid. Can grow to 10m high. Appreciates a deep soil. Tolerates periodical humidity, even annually flooded land for short periods.
