A cross-breed of Ilex latifolia and aquifolium, it rapidly forms a small, light and airy, conical tree, or a large bush. The large leaves are 7-12cm long, shaped rather like those of the Chestnut, bordered evenly with prickles. May bear large berries in autum/winter.
