Read detailed description :

A spherical bush, with erect and vigorous stems. Numerous bunches of silky, purpely-brown flowers in June-July up to October. Lots of lovely rounded leaves, bronze in spring, green in summer, turning orangey-yellow to fiery-red in autumn. Tolerates chalk, and dry weather. Hybrid of C.coggygria and obovatus, perhaps of french origin, as it was first named C.americanus 'Chenault's Variety'.
