Leaves are green with yellow to creamy-white bands. Young shoots are bronze tinted. The wood in summer is green, red in winter and brighter than the Cornus alba 'Gouchaultii' variety. Depending on exposure, the autumn colours can be striking, going from orangey-red to burgundy red.
