Read detailed description :

In April-May, it is covered with large pink striped flowers with a white centre. They are made of 4 large leaves disguised as flowers (bracts) and are followed by red, oval and shiny fruits of 1 cm long. Its slightly silky oval and pointed foliage turns dark red in autumn. It has the shape of an upright shrub turning into a samll tree with spreading branches when mature.
