Fast growing plant. Very floriferous from May to July. Lightly perfumed. Flowers are 8cm in diameter. Leaves are greyish-green. Can grow to over 6m. Appreciates shady areas. A plant found in the wild and probably introduced to Europe by the Veitch Nurseries (GB), famous plant hunters, from the 17th to 19th centuries.
