Excellent japanese Maple with remarkable autumn colours ; bright carmine-red to luminous orange. Nick-named 'The Burning Bush' in its country of origin. Lovely large palmed leaves, 10cm in diameter with 7 oval lobes, an olive-green/bronze colour in spring. The young branches are red. Rounded upright bearing, opening up in age. Can grow to 4-6m. Prefers a not too chalky soil, rich, cool and well drained. Tolerates the sun in a cool soil.
